Carmel Wedding Photography at Church of the Wayfarer | Francie & Neal
When Francie sent me her initial email, she jumped in with both feet. "Will you please be our wedding photographer?" was the subject line. Good thing we hit it off immediately! I love receiving such warm, personal messages from brides!
After regaling me with tales from Neal's and her time in Ecuador spent saving the rainforest (yes even now!) she ended the email with, "Let us know . . . . how many Ecuadorian chickens you're going to cost us."
Since they were both living in Ecuador, and I wouldn't meet them until the day of their wedding in Carmel, we conducted everything via email. When I arrived at the hair salon, Francie leapt from her chair, gave me a huge hug, and pressed a small wrapped present into my hand.
Confused, I began to open it. All of the other girls in the room grinned and whispered. "We know what it is!" one of them exclaimed. I wracked my brain trying to figure out what it could be as I continued to unwrap the package. "Is it something we talked about?" I asked. "It is," Francie said, barely able to contain her excitement.
Finally the tissue was free, and a hand-made glass rooster tumbled into my hand... all the way from Ecuador.
Francie and Neal, thank you so much for trusting me to document one of the most important days in your lives. I hope you love sharing these photos as much as I loved taking them.
