Hilary, a stooped woman in her nineties with silver, wavy hair and dressed head-to-toe in exquisite, ivory lace, hobbles up the walk beaming at her granddaughter. When they meet, rather than your typical hug and hello, Hilary simply takes the bride’s hand and presses it to her forehead. The power of the connection between the two stops time and takes my breath away. After a moment of silence, Hilary speaks with quiet enthusiasm, “I practiced! I practiced walking with a cane so I could be here!”
I’m losing my composure. I’m thankful my camera is large enough to hide behind, and I keep shooting – reeling from what I’m seeing. This is why you want a photographer who is dedicated to wedding photo-journalism. My passion is documenting the meaningful moments of your wedding, rather than staging or fabricating scenes. These are images with authenticity, story, and power, which will continue to resonate with you for decades to come. Learn More
On our wedding day, Gavin’s presence was priceless. He was there when you needed him to be, but disappeared effortlessly into distance when you were having your moments.
I don’t know how Gavin managed to capture so much joy and love in pictures, but he did. I don’t know how he managed to be in so many places at once, but he was. Truly, he appears to have caught every memorable moment there was.
He truly captured it all – the happiness, the tears, and the laughter – among many other special moments with family and friends that we might have otherwise missed. His passion and enthusiasm for his work is unquestionable and truly shows in the quality of his photographs.
I was in tears as I reviewed the set of photos he delivered.
…if I saw 10 photographer’s galleries of their best weddings, I would pick yours as my favorite without even knowing it was you.
Unbelievable Service! …. I didn’t realize then just how much of an impact he was going to have on making that moment the best it could have ever been!
…although we had intangibly high expectations, somehow, Gavin managed to surpass them. We laughed, cried, and smiled our way through photos of the most special day of our lives.
